Incorporating
technology into the classroom is becoming more and more important for teachers
to do. Students are constantly becoming more technologically advanced and often
know more about technology than teachers do. Blogs and wikis are a great way to
integrate technology in the classroom.
I would
completely disagree that blogs and wikis are a waste of time in the classroom.
Blogs provide students with an opportunity for reflective thinking and also a
chance to receive feedback from their classmates and teachers. Blogs also allow
students the chance to review past writings and see how their writing has changed
and improved. Teachers can use blogs with basically any subject and any age
group.
Hi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Students are more advanced than some teachers when it comes to technology so I think it is important for everyone to be engaging in these activities as a class.

Jessica, I really agree with your point about blogs being a good way for students and teachers to see how their writing has changed and improved in a way that also embraces new technologies.
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement that students are becoming more technologically advanced and often know more than the teachers do with computers. It is a scary, but true fact and teachers need to face that the world is changing, therefore teaching methods need to be evolving.
Hi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your post that blogs and wikis are not a waste of time in the classroom. I liked how you touched on how blogs can be used as a tool to have students reflect on their thinking. I also like how you mentioned how blogs are also a good way for students to see how their writing gas changed over time, and for teachers to see how their students' writing has changed as well. Teachers definitely need to try and stay current with technology and how it can relate to their classrooms.
